Lilly's hair has gotten really long, and it's to the point that it's bothersome for everyone who has anything to do with her hair.
(Especially me, since I insist on doing the girls' hair everyday. It's just something I do as a mom.) So we decided to give her a haircut so it's a little less tangle-able. I gave her a style that's similar to my haircut, she just doesn't have the long bangs. I'd never given a haircut like this before, so I just copied what my hairdresser usually does to my hair. I think it turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. Nowhere close to Julie's expertise (she's my ROCKIN' hairdresser), but, hey, I did it myself after all!
Back view with all the layers.

Front view. (It's hard to get her to smile and not look silly. I think it's a kid thing.)

Side view.

Not the best picture of the actual haircut, but I couldn't resist this one.
Isn't she just SO PRETTY?!

Oh my goodness! Lilly is getting so BIG! I think you did a pretty good job with the hair. I am shocked at how old she looks now. What a great mom!
She's BEAUTIFUL! I love her hair!! I'm very impressed, especially that you do their hair every day! WOW!
That haircut is incredible!! Layers and everything! I am quite impressed. And you're right, she is absolutely GORGEOUS.
She is absolutely adorable. Lincoln and Graham had a long discussion about who they are going to marry yesterday during dinner. It finally came down to that it would be okay for Graham to marry Maggie, and Lincoln to marry Lilly. I told him that would be fine with me!
I miss you!
way to go Nikki! I'm so impressed. The only hair I've ever cut is Jared's and it's hard to mess up. I style Max's hair every day, haha, maybe when I have a girl I will give him a break. Lilly is so grown up, you were pregnant with her when I first met you. I love all your comments on my blog!
Oh, Lil, you are bee-you-ti-full!!! I think you should come to Grandma Diane's Kindergarten. You could help me teach!
Nikki, the picture from the back looks just like you! You'll always be one of my little beauties, despite the fact that you're all grown up! And the fix-your-hair-everyday thing is hereditary. I don't apologize!
That looks so awesome! I am so impressed with your hair cutting skills. She is adorable.
Nice job, Nikki!! Woohoo! She looks SO pretty!
Yes yes YES she is pretty! Those eyelashes and round cheeks are to die for. I am so impressed with your haircutting skills! I don't know if I'll ever be brave enough to cut girls' hair!
She is so adorable! That is so amazing that you cut her hair! I am scared to do that with Shannie's hair. Besides the fact that she probably wouldn't let me. I love how you do your girls hair. I am going to have to come to your blog more often to get tips. I'm afraid I do Shannie's hair the same pretty much every day.
